2007 results October 6-7: At Malden Speedway, late models compete with a full program each night in the two-day Cotton Boll Cup. On Friday, Chris finished 12th in the feature race. On Saturday, he was 11th to wrap up his racing season. September 28: At Malden Speedway, crate late models tuned up for the next week's two-day Cotton Boll Cup. Chris started 6th and finished 3rd in his heat race for crate late models, then started 6th and finished 8th in the feature. September 22: At Jefferson County Raceway in Mt. Vernon, Ill., crate late models raced in a $1,000-to-win special event. Chris qualified ninth-fastest in time trials and finished ninth in the heat race; he started 12th in the feature race and avoided wrecks on two false starts to finish 7th. September 21: At Auto Tire & Parts Racepark near Benton, Mo., crate late models raced at the track for the first time this season. Chris started last in the heat race and finished second, then took third in the dash. He finished third in the feature after being passed for second on the final lap. September 15: At Jefferson County Raceway in Mt. Vernon, Ill., Chris repeated the results from Friday night by finishing ninth in the feature race and fourth in the heat race. It was the first visit to the track this season. September 14: At Paducah (Ky.) Raceway, Chris finished ninth in the crate late model feature after starting on the outside of the fourth row. He started third and finished fourth in his heat race. August 31: At Paducah Raceway, Chris debuted a new C.J. Rayburn chassis in his first visit to the track this year and finished 6th in his crate late model heat race. That started Chris 17th in the feature among 22 cars; he finished 12th. August 18: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris finished third in the late model heat after starting fifth, then ran second most of the way in the feature and finished there, just behind Scott Tracer. August 17: At Malden Speedway, Chris came from fifth to second during the late model feature, then gave up a spot late in the race to finish third. He started on the pole of the heat race and finished fourth. August 11: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris finished second in both his late model heat and in the feature, finishing behind Scott Tracer in both events. August 10: At Malden Speedway, Chris finished in the top five in both late model races; he was third in the heat race and fourth in the feature. August 4: At Arkansas' Poinsett County Speedway in an MSRA event, Chris finished fourth in his heat race and started fourth in the feature, where he finished 10th. July 21: At Malden Speedway, a late pass in the heat race dropped Chris to a second-place finish. He was fifth in the feature. July 20: At Malden Speedway, a fifth-place finish started Chris fifth in the late model feature. In that race, he moved up a spot to finish fourth. July 14: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris came up to finish second in the heat race after starting fourth. After starting second in the feature, he finished third. July 13: At Malden Speedway, Chris started on the pole of the late model heat race and finished third. He started third in the feature and finished fourth. June 16: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris gained his first late model feature win of the season after starting on the front row and leading every lap, sometimes by as much as a full straightaway. He also won his heat race after starting on the front row and leading every lap. June 15: At Malden Speedway, Chris started third in the feature and ran a tight race for the lead with Steve Karnes and Scott Tracer for much of the way. Chris took the lead on the final lap but slipped in the final turn just enough to let Scott Tracer pass. Chris finished a half car-length behind in second. June 9: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris competed against super late models for the first time this year in a special event for the MSRA touring series. Chris finished fifth in his heat race after starting seventh and was only one of two crate-engine late models among 25 entries that qualified for the A-main. Chris started 14th in the feature and moved to 10th early in the race and, after slipping to 12th, finished 10th. May 26: At Poplar Bluff Speedway, Chris finished second in the late model heat race after leading several laps. He started second in the feature and finished third. May 25: At Malden Speedway, Chris started on the pole of the late model heat race and finished fourth. In the feature, he started fourth and finished fifth. May 18: At Malden Speedway, Chris came back from a two-week break and finished fourth in his late model heat race after starting third. In the feature, he started eighth and finished fifth. April 27: At Malden Speedway, Chris started fourth in the late model heat race and finished third behind Steve Karnes and Scott Tracer. In the feature, which ran without a caution flag, Chris was in second place until the final lap when Scott Gibbs slipped by and took second by a half car-length. Chris was third. April 20: At Malden Speedway, Chris returned from three weekends off to finish fourth in the late model feature race. March 30: At Malden Speedway, Chris debuted in the crate late model division with a new Mastersbilt chassis and finished in both his heat and feature race.
