2006 results SEPTEMBER 2, I-55 Raceway: Another bad pill draw -- 75 out of 75 -- started Chris last in a tough heat race, which prevented him from moving up. Chris finished 6th in one of the night's two B-mains after he started 9th; the top 3 advanced. SEPTEMBER 1, Paducah Raceway: The first of two bad pill draws over the weekend started Chris last in his heat, where he was caught in a last-lap crash. He started 20th in the feature and advanced to finish 12th. AUGUST 25, Paducah Raceway: A 7th-place finish in his heat put Chris 13th for the start of the modified feature. He finished 10th. AUGUST 19, I-55 Raceway: Rain held off just long enough to finish the modified feature race, where Chris started 18th and finished 13th on a rutted track. He started 6th and finished 6th in his heat race. AUGUST 18, Paducah Raceway: Chris started 5th and finished 8th in the modified feature race after running in 5th for most of the race. He started 4th and finished 2nd in his heat race. AUGUST 4, Paducah Raceway: Bad luck struck on the first lap of the heat race when a car spun and clipped the No. 66 in right side, causing damage to the wheel, driveshaft, rear end and gear assembly and ending Chris' night. JULY 22, I-55 Raceway: A low pill draw put Chris last at the start of his heat race, where he finished 6th. That put him 17th in the modified feature lineup, but a battery cable burned three laps in and resulted in an early exit and 23rd-place finish. JULY 13, Poplar Bluff Speedway: Chris qualified for the Thursday night feature by finishing 4th in his heat race. After a 20th-place starting spot, he finished 15th. JULY 8, Poplar Bluff Speedway: The race for second place in his heat race turned into a spin and a poor finish, but Chris rebounded by winning the B-main for a feature spot. From there, he moved up eight spots and into the top 10 to finish 9th. JULY 7, Malden Speedway: After a week away from the track, Chris was on target for a strong return until a tire went flat on the first lap of the feature. After a quick change and last-place restart, he charged into the top 10 and finished 8th. JUNE 24, I-55 Raceway: The first trip of the season to the track near Pevely, Mo., ended with rain just as Chris was lining up for his heat race. JUNE 23, Malden Speedway: Chris' 5th-place finish in his heat race put him 16th at the start in the feature, where he finished just outside the top 10. JUNE 10, Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway: After moving up to finish 3rd in his heat race, Chris slipped to 13th in the modified feature. JUNE 9, Paducah Raceway: The third trip of the season to Paducah Raceway resulted in a 6th-place heat race finish, followed by a 5th-place feature finish (after starting 13th). Tonight also was the debut of a new Larry Shaw-built modified. JUNE 3, Malden Speedway: A flag-to-flag win in his heat put Chris on the pole for the modified feature, which he led for a lap. A battle for second led to contact on the left-front corner of the No. 66, and that led to a handling problem for the rest of the race. Chris finished 6th. MAY 26, Malden Speedway: After starting 10th in the modified feature, Chris finished 14th behind race winner Jeff Greene. Chris was 4th in his heat race. MAY 20, Poplar Bluff Speedway: Chris finished 6th in his heat race, but rain moved in and ended racing before the feature. MAY 13, Poplar Bluff Speedway: A 5th-place run in the heat race disappeared with a spin on the final lap. That put Chris in the B-main, which provided a chance to experiement with a new set-up that left him running 6th before pulling off to save the car from wear and tear. MAY 12, Paducah Raceway: A new tire combination worked well in a return to Paducah: Chris won his heat race after starting on the outside of the front row, then started 13th in the rescheduled $2,000-to-win feature race and drove up to 8th at the finish. He returned in the night's regularly scheduled feature race and started 5th, then lost position in the final laps and again finished 8th. He was 5th in the dash. APRIL 28, Poplar Bluff Speedway: After starting on the back row of his heat race, Chris was moving through the field when he was caught in another car's spin. The damage was enough to keep him from starting the $1,000-to-win feature. APRIL 22, Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway: An early run into the top 10 ended with a DNF and an 18th-place finish in the modified feature. Chris was 5th in his heat race. APRIL 15, Poplar Bluff Speedway: A likely top-three feature finish was wiped out late in the race when Chris was bumped and spun by another car. He restarted at the back of the field and finished 19th. He was 4th in his heat race. APRIL 14, Malden Speedway: Chris finished 4th in his heat race, then finished 7th in the feature. APRIL 7, Paducah Raceway: The $2,000-to-win UMP modified event ended when rain arrived just before the feature began.
